Below are step by step instructions to remove AboutBlank from your computer.
Note: This process is difficult and is not recommend unless you are an expert in this field. The manual
process is also dangerous as the removal process requires you to access and edit sensitive files in
the registry of your machine and run the risk of totally destroying your computer.
An important point to remember when removing AboutBlank is
to delete all parts of the AboutBlank code. This is a must as AboutBlank will rebuild itself and will
result in further spreading of the spyware parasite.

AboutBlank Description
AboutBlank may reset your web browser's home page and redirect your URLs to unwanted websites, some international, some pornographic. AboutBlank may also re-install itself when you reboot your system.

Open Registry Editor. Click Start>Run, type REGEDIT, then press Enter. In the left panel, double-click the following:

In the right panel, locate and delete the entry or entries:
@ = C:\WINDOWS\System32\sdkns32.dll
ThreadingModel =Apartment
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>
CurrentVersion>Explorer>Browser Helper Objects>{A37B1EF1-FF7A-A47A-8449-3BCE6606697A}
n the right panel, locate and delete the entry or entries:

In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>
Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall>HSA
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry or entries:
DisplayName = Home Search Assistent
UninstallString = "rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://looking-for.cc/uninstall/HomeSearchAssistant.php"
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>
Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall>SE
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry or entries:
DisplayName = Search Extender
UninstallString = "rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://looking-for.cc/uninstall/SearchExtender.php"
In the left panel, double-click the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>
Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall>SW
In the right panel, locate and delete the entry or entries:
DisplayName = Shopping Wizard
UninstallString = "rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://looking-for.cc/uninstall/ShoppingWizard.php"
Finally, close Registry Editor.
