Note: This process is difficult and is not recommend unless you are an expert in this field. The manual
process is also dangerous as the removal process requires you to access and edit sensitive files in
the registry of your machine and run the risk of totally destroying your computer.
An important point to remember when removing CommonName is
to delete all parts of the CommonName code. This is a must as CommonName will rebuild itself and will

Caution: imperfect removal can result in loss of Internet connection for variants using cnmib.dll. Each successive variant of CommonName gets harder to remove manually. Do not try to uninstall CommonName/Mib, CommonName/Zenet, or CommonName/Winnet by just deleting the files. They include a Winsock2 layered service provider module (LSP); if you manage to delete this you will lose network connectivity.
End the 'winnet.exe' and 'comwiz.exe' process from the Task Manager (ctrl-alt-delete). Open the registry (Start->Run->regedit) and delete the following keys and values:

Before you can delete it, the DLL file must be deregistered.
Open a DOS command prompt window (from Start->Programs->Accessories). Enter the following commands in the DOS window: cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\CommonName\Toolbar\CNBabe.dll" and cd "\Program Files"
deltree /Y CommonName
Users of non-English versions of Windows may also need to replace the name 'Program Files' with the name of the Program Files folder on their operating system.
After the deregistration, end the 'msbb.exe' process from the Task Manager (ctrl-alt-delete). Having successfully done this you should be able to delete the entire 'Commonname' folder in Program Files. To clean up the registry, delete the keys HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software with the name 'msbb' (nc, rnd, msbb variants), 'saie', 'sais', 'salm', 'saap', 'sain', '180solutions' or 'zango' and, if present, the uninstall key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall called 'nCASE', 'msbb' or 'zango'.
