CoolWebSearch may redirect your web browser's home page to CoolWebSearch.com, Cool-Search.ws, or other affliates. CoolWebSearch may also generate pornographic pop-up advertisements on your computer.

CoolWebSearch Instructions
Before you can delete it, the DLL file must be deregistered.
Open a DOS command prompt window (from Start->Programs->Accessories). Enter the following commands in the DOS window: cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u dnsrelay.dll, cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u astctl32.dll , cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u xplugin.dll, cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u "..\madopew.dll" or mindep.dll: cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u "..\mindep.dll" or, for openwin.dll: cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u "..\mindep.dll", cd %WinDir%\System regsvr32 /u msXXX.dll, cd "%WinDir%\System" regsvr32 /u "..\dpe.dll" and cd %WinDir%\System regsvr32 /u "..\Downloaded Program Files\ipreg32.dll".
Open the registry (Start->Run->regedit) and delete the following keys and values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, and delete the bootconf.exe or svchost.exe entry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, and delete the 'SysPnP' entry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, and delete the 'keymgrldr' entry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the entry on the right called 'winupd' pointing to winupd.exe.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObject
DelayLoad and delete the entry 'System' pointing at dx90vb.dll.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{AC1ED322-946E-478A-8FF2-55EE5A0861CD}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the entry 'mshelp32' or 'Microsoft Help System' pointing at mshelp32.exe.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the entry sp2chk.exe pointing to the file sp2chk.exe.
Users of non-English versions of Windows may also need to replace the name 'Program Files' with the name of the Program Files folder on their operating system.
After the deregistration, end the 'MSMSGSVC.exe' process from the Task Manager (ctrl-alt-delete). Having successfully done this you should be able to delete the entire 'CoolWebSearch' folder in Program Files. To clean up the registry, delete the keys HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\hdXXX and the entries emanger, emanelif and emandislc inside the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.
